About the fund
IREX is an international non-profit organisation founded in 1968 with support from leading US universities, the Ford Foundation and the US State Department. It initially focused on academic exchanges with the USSR and Eastern Europe.
IREX's mission is to develop leaders, learners and institutions so that people can shape their own futures. The organisation works in education, media, leadership, workforce development and digital literacy.
IREX has worked in Ukraine for over 30 years. During the war it partnered with more than 7,500 institutions and reached over 2.1 million people through media, youth and veteran programmes.
