About the fund

The International Renaissance Foundation is one of Ukraine's largest charitable foundations, established in 1990 by philanthropist George Soros. The Foundation is part of the international Open Society Foundations network, active in more than 120 countries.

The Foundation's mission is to build an open society in Ukraine, where citizens take part in decision-making, power is transparent and accountable, and human rights are protected. For over three decades it has been one of the leading donors to Ukrainian civil society.

During the full-scale war, the Foundation works across several strategic directions, supporting democracy, justice for war crimes, veteran reintegration and Ukraine's European integration.
